Today’s latest news about the Ukrainian-Russian war
Dec. 27 () –
The spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuri Ignat, has warned that the Russian Army could launch attacks in the coming days in response to what happened over the weekend at the Engels airbase, where the remains of Ukrainian drones shot down by Russia claimed the lives of three soldiers.
Despite this threat, Ignat has made a positive assessment of that operation on the Russian air base, considering that it achieved the objective of altering Moscow’s plans to a certain extent, which has had to make “readjustments”, reports the Ukrainian news agency. news Interfax.
According to Ignat, there are still many planes at the Engels base, although it is true that “many of them have already been relocated to different airfields” and, in general, Russia has reduced its night air activity, even with tactical aircraft.
“Maybe yes, maybe they will make some adjustments”, celebrated Ignat, who has stressed that both the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, as well as the high military commanders and part of the population are aware that “the threat has not been gone nowhere.”
“The occupiers have not given up their insidious intentions. Perhaps during the New Year holidays or on other dates they will take the opportunity to continue hitting our infrastructure to break the Ukrainian people,” he said.
During the early hours of Monday, the military air base of Engels, in the southwest of Russia, produced a series of explosions – the result of the impact against the ground of the remains of Ukrainian drones hit by Russian anti-aircraft systems – that claimed the lives of three Russian soldiers.
