Today’s latest news about the Ukrainian-Russian war

Dec. 30 () –

The Government of Ukraine has unilaterally suspended this Friday the agreement it had with Russia, in force since October 1992, for the joint use and protection of the border water masses between the two nations.

This has been confirmed by the government representative to Parliament, Taras Melnichuk on his Telegram channel. “The Agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on the joint use and protection of border water bodies (…) has been terminated,” he noted.

Ukraine and Russia take advantage of several rivers -such as the Donets, the DĂ©rkul, the Aidar or the Sinyak- and lakes to outline their border limits, especially in the southern area, in what is known as the Ukrainian Donbas and annexed by Moscow at the end of September .
