Ukraine seeks and captures two former Yanukovych ministers for pacts with Russia

The British government announced on Tuesday sanctions on more than 30 Russian politicians and positions placed by Moscow in the occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as the brothers Sarvar and Sanjar Ismailov, nephews of the oligarch Alisher Usmanov and who have economic interests in the United Kingdom. The nephews of the oligarch, who was already sanctioned in March for his links with the Kremlin, have “significant interests in the United Kingdom,” says the British ministry, which has frozen their assets. The Foreign Ministry indicates in a statement that Vitaly Khotsenko and Vladislav Kuznetsov, the Prime Minister and Senior Vice President imposed by Russia in the so-called People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. In coordination with the European Union, the United Kingdom also penalizes two Syrian groupsresponsible, respectively, for recruiting citizens of the Arab country to fight with Russia in Ukraine and support “the repressive Syrian regime.”
