The advisor to the Ukrainian Presidency, Mikhailo Podoliak, has pointed out that the explosions that are occurring in Russian infrastructure, such as the one registered this Monday at an air base in southern Russia, are consequences of the war.
Podoliak has also assured that incidents of this type on Russian territory will increase in the coming months, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency Unian.
“Everything that is happening in Russia today (…) is related to the loss of control of Russia’s own processes. The number of sabotages, undetected detonations, fires at critical facilities is constantly increasing,” he explained.
In this sense, the presidential adviser has added that the fires in Russia — which have increased notably in recent months, registering almost a dozen fires in various shopping centers — occur because the country cannot access spare parts or expert consultations. foreign.
Russian authorities reported that during the early hours of the morning air defenses shot down a drone that was approaching the air base, but the debris from the aircraft killed three soldiers.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces later warned Moscow that it would be “wrong” if it thought kyiv would not attack the rear.
