The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has reported that there are already almost 700 requests from national volunteers to join the Ukrainian Legion, who will receive basic training in the Polish city of Lublin, prior to becoming part of the Armed Forces while the invasion continues. Russian.

The spokesperson for the Defense Ministry, Dimitro Lazutkin, highlighted that the first volunteers who have already signed their contracts this Monday and have begun training are not only Ukrainian citizens residing in Poland, but there are also those who have arrived from Czech Republic, Ireland, or Germany.

“Some have basic military training, others do not, but all will receive training with instructors from NATO countries, not just Poles,” explained Lazutkin, who added that all these personnel have the same labor rights as the rest of the military. Ukrainians once their contracts were signed.
