The Armed Forces of Ukraine have estimated this Friday at more than 56,000 the number of Russian soldiers killed in combat, including 550 during the last day, just two days after the Russian Government stated that nearly 6,000 soldiers had died since the start of hostilities, unleashed on February 24 by the invasion order signed by the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has indicated in a message published on its account on the social network Facebook that “about 56,060” Russian soldiers have died and has added that 2,254 battle tanks, 1,355 artillery systems, 170 of anti-aircraft defense and 326 self-propelled and armored multiple rocket launchers.

Thus, it has stated that 254 planes, 219 helicopters, 950 drones, 15 boats, 3,659 vehicles and fuel tanks and 126 pieces of special equipment have also been destroyed. “The Russian enemy suffered the greatest losses during the last day in the directions of Kramatorsk and Donetsk,” he stressed, before stressing that the balance provided “is being updated.”

In this sense, he said that “the enemy continues to suffer casualties, especially among the leadership” and added that “in order to recover the losses of personnel, the enemy continues to carry out forced mobilization tasks in the occupied territories”. “The enemy does not stop attacking infrastructure and the homes of the civilian population. The threat of bombing and missile attacks by the Russian occupiers continues throughout the territory of Ukraine”, he has settled.
