The Ukrainian Armed Forces have estimated this Thursday at more than 140,000 the number of Russian soldiers “liquidated” since the start of the invasion, unleashed on February 24, 2022 by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, a figure much higher than the one confirmed to date by Moscow.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has said in a message posted on its official account on the Facebook social network that since the outbreak of the war 140,460 Russian soldiers have been “liquidated”, including 690 during the last day.

Likewise, it has indicated that 3,296 battle tanks, 2,306 artillery systems, 239 anti-aircraft defense systems, 298 planes, 287 helicopters, 2,012 drones, 857 cruise missiles, 18 boats, 5,167 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 219 pieces have been destroyed. of “special equipment”. “The data is being updated,” he assured.

Russia has not provided data on casualties in the conflict since September, when Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu confirmed the deaths of 5,937 soldiers. The Russian news portal Mediazona raises the total number of deaths to 14,093 -including 1,555 during the last 15 days-, figures that it considers “corroborated” through publicly available data.
