The Deputy Minister of the Interior of Ukraine, Yevhenii Yenin, has estimated this Friday at more than 7,000 Ukrainian civilians who have lost their lives and 5,500 who have been injured as a result of the attacks by Russian troops on Ukrainian soil.

“More than 24,000 civilian objects have been hit by Russian bombing (…). And the number of civilians who have died during this war already exceeds 7,000 people, while another 5,500 civilians have been injured,” Yenin said during an interview with the Ukrainian agency Unian.

The deputy minister stressed that Russia’s bombing of buildings where civilians are claiming many lives, while detailing that Russian troops have carried out 22,000 bombings since the war began on February 24.
