The Ukrainian authorities have denounced this Sunday the death of four health workers due to an attack by the Russian Army during an evacuation of civilians from a medical center in the town of Strilecha, located in the Kharkov region (east).
The head of the Kharkov Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, has indicated in his Telegram account that “the occupants continue to mercilessly terrorize the civilian population” and has detailed that the fatalities participated in an evacuation of patients from a psychiatric hospital .
“Medical workers risk their lives, even under fire, to try to save the sick. It was possible to evacuate 30 patients, but there are more than 600 in the institution,” he said, while noting that the Russian forces began a “massive” artillery attack during the evacuation.
“We express our deep condolences and respect, these are the actions of our heroes. Unfortunately, the Russians stop at nothing. They are war criminals and terrorists,” Sinegubov stressed, without the Russian authorities having ruled on these accusations.
