The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has denounced this Sunday “dozens” of Russian attacks against Ukrainian positions in the east of the country that have resulted in significant losses for the attackers.

Specifically, it has reported 45 Russian attacks that were repelled around Bakhmut and Marinka, where the front line has not changed. “The enemy is suffering significant casualties, but is clinging to its plan to occupy Ukrainian territory,” he said.

In other parts of the country there have also been attacks despite the celebration of Orthodox Easter, such as in Mikolaiv, where two teenagers have died, as reported by the military governor, Vitali Kim.

In Zaporizhia the military governor, Yuri Malashko, has reported a “big attack” that has caused damage to a church, forcing the cancellation of religious celebrations. “They don’t respect anything, not even the night of Christ’s resurrection,” he lamented.
