The Ukrainian authorities have claimed to have repelled a nighttime drone attack on the country’s capital, Kiev, on a night in which Russian troops have attacked various points in Ukraine, especially in the southern area, such as the port city of Odessa.
The head of the Military Administration of the city of Kiev, Serhiy Popko, has assured that “the air defense has detected and destroyed all the enemy drones”, so no casualties or material damage have been reported.
“It has been a difficult night of air strikes throughout Ukraine. In the south, Odessa, especially. But the enemy has not forgotten Kiev either” attacking the capital again with Iranian-made ‘Shahed’ kamikaze drones.
The mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, has also reported on the defense work in the Kiev area, indicating on his Telegram channel that the sounds of the explosions are “heard”.
The Russian military has bombarded the Ukrainian city of Odessa with Iranian drones and cruise missiles for the second night in a row, according to Ukrainian authorities, due to Moscow’s recent withdrawal from the grain export deal.
