Russia has not commented on the attack in Nizhny Novgorod but assures that it has repelled the latest bombings

Oct. 20 () –

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has assured this Sunday that an attack has hit a Russian weapons plant in Dzerzhinsk, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, about 900 kilometers from the front lines.

The attack was carried out with drones and under the supervision of the Ukrainian security service, the Intelligence Directorate and special operations forces.

Russia has not yet commented on this bombing but they have confirmed a drone attack in the region involving 100 unmanned aerial vehicles during the night. The governor of the region, Gleb Nikitin, however, indicated on his Telegram channel that the attack had been repelled and that four firefighters received minor injuries from the debris.

In addition, the Ukrainian General Staff has also reported night attacks against the Lipetsk-2 military air base in the western Russian region of Lipetsk, to attack “ammunition depots, fuel storage sites and aviation equipment.”
