Ukraine carries out its largest attack on military targets on Russian soil with more than 200 Western drones and missiles

Last night Ukraine launched its major attack against military infrastructure located on Russian territory since the beginning of the war, as reported by the kyiv General Staff in a statement.

Russian authorities reported an attack involving more than 200 drones against twelve Russian regions and the launch by Ukraine of six American ATACMS missiles and another six British Storm Shadow missiles against the Bryansk border region.

In the attack, according to the kyiv General Staff, targets located in the regions of Bryansk, Saratov, Tula and Tatarstan, located between 200 and 1,100 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, were hit.

The drone attack reached an ammunition warehouse containing guided bombs and missiles at the Engels air base in Russia’s Saratov region, as well as other targets, a Ukrainian Security Service source said on Tuesday.

Another of the affected infrastructures is the Seltso city chemical plantin the Russian region of Bryansk, which produces explosives of different types. Two Tor and Buk air defense systems were destroyed during the attack, according to the kyiv General Staff.

This attack launched by drone forces, special operations forces and missile forces together with the Ukrainian secret service and the Air Force also caused fires at a Saratov oil refinery and in ua chemical plant in the Tatarstan region.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated, for its part, that had shot down all Western missiles fired by Ukraine towards the Bryansk region, as well as 146 drones outside the war zone. He added that others two Storm Shadows had been shot down over the Black Sea.

“The actions of the kyiv regime, supported by its Western allies, will not go unanswered,” the Defense Ministry warned.
