Thus, the British ‘premier’ has called on the parties to the conflict to “lay down their arms” and “immediately apply a humanitarian ceasefire to guarantee that civilians can leave the conflict zones”.
For his part, the British Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly, has confirmed the evacuation given “the increase in threats against foreign diplomats.” “Our main priority continues to be the security of British citizens. We are constantly working to gain international support to put an end to the bloodshed in Sudan,” he concluded.
