Ubisoft delays its Avatar game to at least 2023



Ubisoft has delayed its game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora from a launch window of 2022 to some point in 2023 or 2024something the company has announced as part of your first quarter earnings. It’s not the first time Avatar content has been delayed, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be the last.

The company first announced that it was working on a new Avatar game in 2017.and subsequently presented the first trailer in 2021. It is possible that Ubisoft wanted to release Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora this year to coincide with the December debut of Avatar: The Way of Water.

In its report, Ubisoft also said that it will reveal the “future of the Assassin’s Creed brand” in September and that it has pushed for “an unannounced smaller premium game.” to be released between 2022 and 2024.

This year, the company should still be able to release Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope on October 20 and Skull and Bones on November 8. During Thursday’s earnings call, the company said it had canceled Splinter Cell VR, Ghost Recon Frontline, and two unannounced games, so this isn’t generally positive news.
