Two Palestinians arrested after alleged attempted carjacking near Hebron

September 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Two Palestinians have been shot and then arrested after an alleged attempted carjacking on Sunday afternoon near the town of Jursa, south of Hebron, in the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses quoted by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli troops opened fire on a vehicle, wounding two young men who were travelling inside. They also said that Israeli forces prevented medical personnel from treating the injured.

Later, the Israeli Armed Forces reported an “alleged attempted attack” by soldiers from the Yehuda Brigade.

“The military opened fire on the suspects who were in the vehicle,” the military statement said. “The suspects were caught and arrested. Our forces have not suffered any casualties,” it added.
