At least two of the approximately 30 injured in the attack carried out last morning against a crowd in the American city of New Orleans were Israeli citizens, as reported by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Consulate General of Israel in Houston is in contact with the hospital and the families of the victims, as indicated by the Ministry and reported by the newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has ordered a Consulate representative to travel to New Orleans. At the moment no further details have been given about the prognosis of these two injured people.
Ten people have died and thirty have been injured when a vehicle entered a pedestrian zone where there was a New Year’s celebration in the French Quarter of New Orleans in what authorities consider an intentional attack. After the collision, the assailant got out of the vehicle and began shooting.
