Two Israeli soldiers killed in the northern Gaza Strip

MADRID 19 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Armed Forces reported this Saturday the death of two soldiers in the framework of their war offensive on the northern Gaza Strip.

The deceased are Sergeant Ofir Berkovich, 20 years old and originally from Mediin-Maccabim-Reot, and Sergeant Elishai Jung, 19 years old and originally from Dimona, both members of the 52nd Armored Battalion of the 401st Brigade ‘Reds of Iron’.

Both “have fallen in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip,” according to the Israeli military statement, which reports that another soldier was also seriously wounded.

In addition, an officer from the 53rd Battalion of the 188th ‘Barak’ Brigade was seriously injured this Saturday in fighting in the north.

The Hamas militias, the Ezzeldin al Qassam Brigades, have reported that they have attacked two Israeli Merkava tanks with ‘Shawaaz’ bombs in Tel al Zaatar, east of Jabalia, although it is not possible to corroborate whether this is the same incident.
