MADRID 16 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israeli authorities reported this Saturday the launching of two flares against the patio of the residence of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in the town of Caesarea.
The devices have not caused damage, as reported in a joint statement by the Police and the Shin Bet, the Israeli secret services for the interior and the occupied territories. In addition, they have highlighted that Netanyahu and his family were not in the property at the time.
Now they have opened an investigation into this “serious incident that represents a dangerous escalation”, according to the Israeli newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.
The Israeli opposition has condemned this incident, while ministers such as National Security Minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, have warned of the “attacks against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that already cross all limits.” “Today it is a flare and tomorrow it will be a real fire,” Ben Gvir warned after condemning this “attack against Netanyahu and his family.”
Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin, has advocated resuming the controversial judicial reform in response to this “link in the chain of violent and anarchist actions that seek the assassination of the prime minister and depose the elected government by violent means.”
