Two people have died and four more have been injured in a fire at a traditional wooden inn in the tourist town of Qianhu Miao, Leishan county, in the southwestern Chinese province of Guizhou.
Local authorities have reported that the fire started around 9:50 am on Monday and was put out about 30 minutes later, which did not prevent the death of two people.
An emergency team was sent to the scene to treat the injured, Chinese state media reports.

Qianhu Miao has more than 1,200 traditional inns or ‘diaojiaolou’ built by the Miao ethnic group, making it a typical tourist destination in the area.
