MADRID 6 Nov. () –

Two climate activists from the ‘Just Stop Oil’ organization have been arrested by the British Police after spraying orange paint on the US Embassy building in London in protest of the virtual victory of Republican candidate Donald Trump in the presidential elections.

The London Metropolitan Police has confirmed that two men, aged 25 and 72, were arrested this Wednesday for causing “damage” to one of the walls of the American diplomatic headquarters around 9:20 a.m. (local time).

“These actions are vandalism intended to be a protest and we will continue to have a zero-tolerance attitude towards events such as these,” stressed Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine in a statement published by Wandsworth District Police.

The organization ‘Just Stop Oil’ has taken responsibility for the action, arguing that the world has risen today “deeper in fascism and climate collapse.” “Trump’s victory puts the lives of people everywhere at risk,” he stressed in a message on the social network X.

The organization has assured that “as long as democracy is kidnapped by corporate and billionaire interests” “change” will not be achieved, “screamed” by the population. “Only if people come together to change the normal way things work.” , humanity will have some chance of minimizing the effects of climate change and the social collapse that follows,” he added.

Likewise, he recalled that in Spain “hundreds of bodies continue to be pulled” from the mud due to the effects of DANA, which have left more than 200 dead. “This is just a small harbinger of what is to come if we do not change course immediately,” he warned.
