Former US President Donald Trump estimated this Friday that Twitter “is now in good hands”, after Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, bought the social network.
I am very happy that Twitter is now in good hands and will no longer be run by lunatics and maniacs from the radical left who truly hate our country,” Trump said on his Truth Social platform.
Trump did not clarify if he plans to return to the network, from which he was blocked after the assault by his supporters on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021.
In May, Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, opened the door for a return of Trump to Twitter, from where the Republican tycoon communicated with his 88 million followers. He did it through his @realDonaldTrump account, unleashing numerous controversies and debates.
Trump called his Truth Social network “better” than Twitter, which he said “needs to work hard to get rid of all the bots (automated programs ndlr) and fake accounts that have damaged it so much.”
“It will be much smaller, but better. I love Truth!” he added.
