It is known by all by now that Twitter created a major problem by transferring to the pocket the possibility of obtaining a blue tick next to our name, something that has generally meant that it is an official account, or at the very least, that the person we are talking to – who is often famous – is exactly who we think they are.
This is a problem, since, since then, any Twitter user can buy his blue tick. The company's solution? Launch new, more discreet ticks, which are placed under the name of the respective user in their profilethus being a new solution to a problem that Twitter has caused on its own.
From now on, users who have a paid subscription to Twitter Blue will have the blue/white tick, while those users who by their own recognition pass the validation criteria, they will have a tick under their name in the user's profile, which will perform the functions of the previous verification tick.
It should be noted that, at the date of writing, this new tick has disappeared a few minutes ago, at least on the Spanish site, shortly after a new tweet by Elon Musk indicating that we will see “a lot of stupid things on Twitter”clarifying that some will stay and others will not, so it remains to be seen if these new ticks will stay with us or not.
