Twelve dead when a bus overturns in Pakistan

June 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least twelve people have died and 24 more have been injured when a bus overturned in a traffic accident that occurred on the highway that connects Islamabad with Lahore at the height of Kallar Kahar.

The Highway Police have reported that the vehicle, in which women and children were traveling, was covering a route between Lahore and Rawalpindi when the brakes apparently failed, reports Pakistani television Geo TV.

Police officers and other emergency services came after receiving the notice and transferred the injured and deceased to a hospital. “There are three women and two minors among the deceased,” said the Police.

The cameras that have collected the accident show a car that was driving in the opposite direction and that also overturned after colliding with the bus.
