Trump points to November 14 to announce presidential candidacy in the US

Former US President Donald Trump’s inner circle is discussing announcing the November 14 launch of the 2024 presidential campaign, reported Axios on Friday, citing three sources familiar with the discussions.

Trump is in conflict with the schedule, the report said, adding that the date is not certain.

The former president hinted at a strong possibility Thursday that he might attempt a White House comeback during a rally in Iowa.

“And now, to make our country successful and safe and glorious, I will very, very likely do it again,” he said.

On Thursday night, Trump kicked off a series of four rallies in Iowa in the final five days of the midterm elections, where he was joined by Sen. Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican seeking an eighth consecutive six-year term. .

A survey from October Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa showed Grassley with a 3% lead, among likely voters, over Democratic candidate Mike Franken of Sioux City. If that figure were the final margin on Nov. 8, it would be the closest Senate race of Grassley’s 41-year career in the upper chamber.
