TransMilenio Christmas Route: what days and times will it work?

The bus network of the TransMilenio system launched the Christmas Route, which will spread from today until next December 23 with the aim of bringing Bogota residents closer to the different events that will take place on the occasion of the celebrations.

The initiative, which aims to facilitate the movement of all people who visit the center of the Colombian capital so that they can enjoy the Christmas activities, it will also include three buses from the TransMiZonal component that will connect the Plaza de Bolívar with the Plaza de Toros, and It will operate from 6 to 11 p.m.

The route will begin its journey on 27th Street with Carrera Quinta in front of the La Santamaría Cultural Plazayou will take Carrera Quinta to the south, Calle 24 to the east, then Carrera Cuarta to the south, Calle 12b to the east, you will resume Carrera Novena to the north, Calle 24 and Carrera Séptima to once again reach the Plaza Cultural La Santamaría on the Transverse Sixth.

This special service will have a length of 4.8 kilometers and a travel time of approximately 35 minutes each way.

In turn, on Sundays December 15 and 22, The following 6 stations (Universities, Las Aguas – Centro Colombo Americano, Museo del Oro, Av. Jiménez, Museo Nacional and San Victorino) will operate one hour more than its usual schedule, until 11 p.m., allowing people to travel more flexibly back to their homes.
