Training for a third group of Ukrainian pilots completes in the United Kingdom

MADRID 22 Oct. () –

The Ukrainian authorities in the United Kingdom confirmed this Tuesday the completion of a new round of training for a third group of Ukrainian pilots, in this case eight soldiers who have been trained in the handling of Western combat aircraft.

This has been confirmed by the Ukrainian ambassador in London, Valeri Zaluzhni, who has gone together with British authorities to the base of the United Kingdom Royal Air Force (RAF) in Cranwell, in the east of the island of Great Britain.

“Once again, I want to thank the British Government and people for their constant support for Ukraine. It is thanks to this support that we continue the fight. Thanks to the United Kingdom we have the possibility of winning,” Zaluzhni said on his Telegram channel.

Zeluzhny, former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stressed that victory in war is achieved not only by daily work on the battle front, but also by preparation for future actions.

“We are now gaining the advantage we need over our enemy. We are here at Cranwell Air Force Base for our future victories. I am truly grateful to all the staff for training our pilots,” he said.

Thus, Zaluzhni has announced that the eight pilots who have been part of the third round of training in the United Kingdom “will leave for war very soon.” “Let’s hope they have learned well,” the Ukrainian ambassador stressed.

The Ukrainian authorities, including President Volodymyr Zelensky himself, have insisted to their partners on the need to first receive battle tanks and later fighters with which to face the offensives of the Russian Armed Forces.

While Western partners were open to sending tanks to kyiv, this was not the case with fighter jets. However, some of Ukraine’s allies have committed to training pilots in the operation of Western fighters.
