Aiken County Coroner’s Office to Hold Paupers Burial in 2024 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Graniteville Cemetery. Those laid to rest are: Leon Jasinski, Ranae Burns, Robert McHugh, Roberta Lambert, Ronald Lange, John Read, Larry Lewis, James Kenny, Jimmy Tanner, Robert Phillips, Charles Wright, Alfred Kapazira, James Clifton, David Krall II, Charles Anderson and Wade Gable.

CNTA to hold its 33rd annual Teller Conference Thursday, October 24 at the Columbia County Expo Center, 212 Partnership Drive, Grovetown, Georgia. The program begins at 5 pm with a public reception and nuclear technology exhibition followed by a dinner, lecture and awards ceremony at 6:30 pm Tickets are $50 and must be purchased by Friday, October 11. A Trick or Treat walk-in will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, at the Aiken County Visitor Center, 133 Laurens St. NW Come in, make a craft, get a spooky gift, and show off your costume. Aiken Ghost Tours Haunted History Fall Tours will take place at 6:30 pm on October 25, 26, 27 and 31. Tours depart from the St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church Cemetery. Reservations are recommended. A Trunk or Treat Event will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Saturday, October 26 at Horse Creek Academy, 1200 Toolebeck Road. The cost to host a trunk is $10. Admission is free. For more information or to host a trunk, please email [email protected].

The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will conduct a Log or treat from 3 to 6 pm on Saturday, October 26 at Citizens Park, 1060 Banks Mill Road. The event will feature music, carnival games, food vendors and more. The event is for children under 12 years old. Admission costs $1. Cash preferred. Pets are not allowed.
