Technology trends at MWC 2023 in Shanghai
According to the analysis firm Questmobile, there are 10 million 3D content available in the world and specifically on platforms such as Netflix there are 17,000 videos produced with this technology. For this reason, companies like Nubia presented laptops with this technology in order to give users of this tool more device options.
On the other hand, multiple companies opted to have virtual reality solutions for B2B and B2C sectors. China Mobile presented a couple of applications for clients where they could play video games in the cloud, but also have training within the work areas. While the Genew company presented a game that simulates a combat title where VR helmets and guns are used to play.
In the case of the General Plan company, the VR proposal is focused on the educational sector, with a couple of virtual laboratories and some classrooms.
In addition to this pair of trends, for the business segment, the use of 5.5G networks is imposed as a complement to manufacturing or mining applications.
Paul Scanlan, advisor to president CNBG of Huawei, pointed out that this network will reduce the digital gap of companies and achieve a reduction in their deployment thanks to the virtues it has in industries such as telemedicine.
“The pandemic caused users to be more demanding and therefore they will demand faster and more efficient services. This network helps organizations understand the problems that exist and the deployment that they need”, Scanlan pointed out in a press conference.
