14 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Turkish rescue teams have managed to find alive on Tuesday several people who have remained trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings due to the earthquakes registered on February 6 in southern Turkey, near the border with Syria. .

According to information collected by the Turkish state news agency, Anatolia, a 35-year-old woman has been rescued in the province of Kahramanmaras, the epicenter of the earthquakes, about 205 hours after being trapped by the collapse of her home.

Shortly before, two women aged 40 and 26 were also rescued in Hatay province after 203 and 201 hours trapped, respectively, at a time when hopes of continuing to find earthquake survivors are diminishing.

Earlier in the day, two brothers, Muhammed and Abdulbaki Yeninar, had been found alive in the rubble of an eight-story building in Kahramanmaras. Muhammed has been able to say that he is “fine” as he is being evacuated in an ambulance.

Subsequently, Abdulbaki has reported that both were able to eat protein powders that his brother uses to supplement himself when he goes to the gym, while they were able to breathe because of a hole in the cement, as reported by the Turkish newspaper ‘Daily Sabah’.

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, highlighted this Tuesday that more than 8,000 people have been rescued alive by emergency teams, before adding that “a significant percentage” of the more than 81,000 injured have been discharged, as reported by Anatolia.

The Turkish authorities have raised this Tuesday to about 32,000 deaths due to the earthquakes, a balance to which must be added 1,414 deaths in the areas controlled by the Syrian Government and about 2,300 in the areas in the hands of the rebels in the northwest of the country, according to data from the Syrian Civil Defense, known as the ‘white helmets’.
