Three people die from the bombing carried out on Tuesday against the international airport of Aleppo, in Syria

Sep. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least three people died and five others were injured in the bombing carried out on Tuesday against the Aleppo International Airport, blamed by Syria on the Israeli Army, as reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday.

The agency, based in London and informants in the Arab country, has indicated that a total of six projectiles hit the aerodrome and its surroundings, causing material damage to the runway and causing the suspension of operations.

Likewise, he pointed out that the Syrian security forces have launched an operation in the area and have arrested five people in the Al Malikiya neighborhood for alleged “communication with hostile actors”, in possible reference to links with the Israeli authorities.

Damascus denounced the bombing on Tuesday and confirmed material damage to the airport, although it did not comment on victims. The airfield had already been attacked on August 31, also by Israeli forces, according to Syria.

The Israeli Army has carried out dozens of bombings in Syria, arguing that they are acting to prevent the establishment of Iranian bases in the country and the sending of weapons to the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah by the Iranian authorities, which support Damascus in the framework of the war that broke out in 2011.
