At least three migrants have died and dozens are unaccounted for after a sailboat carrying nearly 100 migrants capsized Wednesday night off the coast of the Greek island of Kythera in the Aegean Sea. as reported by local media.

Around 9:00 p.m. local time, a shipwreck took place one nautical mile from the port of the town of Diakofti, where winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour were recorded, unfavorable weather conditions for the proper development of the rescue operations of the Greek Coast Guard, has picked up the Kythera News portal.

According to the latest report, the Coast Guard, the Greek Police and local authorities have proceeded to the rescue of seven people. However, according to the statements of the rescued people, 95 migrants were on board the shipwrecked sailboat. In addition, the bodies of three people have been spotted.
