Nov. 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) announced this Thursday that three of its troops have died in an operation in the province of Sistan and Balochistan (southeast) in which they have killed four “terrorists” and arrested to six others.

This was announced by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on its Sepah News portal, with a brief statement in which it identified its combatants who fell during the ‘Operation Martyrs’ operation as Ahmad Reza Saheb, Ahmad Zarei and Ali Rahmanian.

The exercise is part of the ‘Security Martyrs’ operation and took place in the town of Rask in the aforementioned province, where Iranian forces have increased their activities against the extremist group Jaish al Adl.

They are expected to continue operating in other parts of the province such as Sarbaz, Kalat, Nik Shahr, Rask, Mehrestan and Qasr Qand, according to statements by the spokesman for the operation, General Ahmad Shafaei, reported by the Mehr news agency.

This Wednesday the Revolutionary Guard announced the death of four “terrorists affiliated with the Israeli regime” and the arrest of seven others in this area of the country, while five had surrendered to the province’s security forces.

Iranian forces have increased these operations against the fundamentalist group in Sistan and Baluchistan after the death of ten agents in an attack last week in the province, the scene of a spike in attacks in recent months.

Jaish al Adl was founded in 2012 by former members of an extremist organization in the province, one of the most impoverished in Iran. Tehran has on several occasions called on Pakistan – which is also facing operations by Baloch separatist groups in the west of the country – to increase its cooperation to confront these organizations.
