September 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Three Israelis were hospitalized on Sunday after being hit by an anti-tank guided missile that exploded near Kfar Yuval, close to the border with Lebanon.
The three injured were taken by helicopter to the Ziv Medical Center in Safed, the hospital reported, as reported by the Israeli newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.
One of the three injured has a serious prognosis and is undergoing surgery, while the other two have a good to moderate prognosis.
“As a result of an impact in the Kfar Yuval area, an IDF reservist was moderately injured” and was taken to hospital, an Israeli military statement later confirmed.
The statement also reported numerous bombings against Hezbollah launchers and military installations in Lebanese territory, specifically in Eita al Shaab, Beit Laif, Al Taiba, Al Adaisa, Bin Yabal, Kfer Shoba and Sheeba farms.
The Israeli army has also confirmed at least 30 launches” coming from Lebanon. “Most of them fell in open areas and there were no casualties,” they said. Israel responded with artillery fire against the origin of the launches.
Hezbollah has confirmed the rocket fire, saying it targeted military facilities of the 8200th Intelligence Battalion in Metat and other targets in Kfar Yuval and Al Samaka “in support of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.”
The Israeli military and Lebanese Hezbollah have been engaged in an escalation of cross-border shelling and shooting since 7 October, when Palestinian militants from Gaza attacked Israeli territory, killing around 1,200 people. More than 40,000 Palestinians have since been killed in retaliatory attacks.
