Three drones launched by Russia against Ukraine enter NATO member Romania

Russia launched this morning a massive drone attack on Ukraine of those who Three crossed the border into Romania, a NATO member country on whose territory Russian unmanned aerial vehicles have already crashed on other occasions.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force on Thursday, Russia launched a total of 38 Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed, of which 25 were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.

The attack had among its main infrastructure objectives from the southern region of Odessa, which borders Romania at its southwestern edge.

25 drones were shot down. “The location of three others went missing after they crossed the border with Romania,” Ukrainian Air Force commander Mikola Oleshchuk wrote in a statement.

The Air Force commander explained that the drones were launched from the occupied Ukrainian peninsula Crimea and from the neighboring town of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, both in the southeast of mainland Ukraine.

As a result of the attack, Ukrainian air defences were activated in the regions of Odessa, Kherson and Mykolaiv (south), kyiv (north), Sumy (northeast) and Zhytomyr and Cherkasy (centre).
