Animation is experiencing one of its best moments thanks to the diffusion provided by platforms, which allow pieces that were previously relegated to specialized channels to now be accessible throughout the world. Like for example these three small series, short but intense, and that take us to daring, garish worlds of overwhelming beauty.
‘primal’
Genndy Tartakovsky’s brutal animated action series without dialogue returns to HBO Max with a second season that has been made to beg and that, by the looks of it, will evolve the original story far beyond the jungle adventure with dinosaurs and predatory creatures. -Humans from the first season. After our caveman launches himself to the rescue of the first human with whom he has gotten along in a long time, we will enter a story about civilizations evolving at different speeds, as the creator of the series affirms.
‘The Spectacular Spider-Man’
While most of the Marvel stuff is on Disney+ (including the terrific first Spider-Man animated series from the 90s), you have to go to Netflix to watch this one. The Wall Climber has always had fantastic animated series, but this is one of the fan favourites: its stylized and dynamic appearance fits perfectly with the spirit of the hero, and unfortunately it did not last long, less than thirty episodes, due to the legal clash between Disney and Sony. But it is worth recovering it for its fantastic action sequences and its remarkable balance between the heroic part and the private life of Peter Parker.
Tron: The Resistance
The anniversary of the original ‘Tron’ this year is the perfect excuse to claim this little-known wonder on Disney + that accompanied that inferior but very vindicatable sequel that was ‘Tron: Legacy’. The argument of both continues and it only lasted one season of 19 vibrant episodes, perfectly in tune with the fluorine aesthetics of the movies. Here we will go into detail about the resistance against the dictator of the computer network, in an adventure that delves into the proposal to anthropomorphize the electronic processes of computers.
