The ‘microblogging’ platform Threadsowned by Meta, will incorporate advertising at the beginning of next year and will begin its deployment with a small number of ads starting in January, as The Information recently announced.

A few weeks ago, the company’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, had acknowledged that the platform was in the process of becoming its “next social app,” while Meta Platforms’ CFO, Susan Li, also noted that the time spent using it continued to increase.

At the end of October, Threads already had around 275 million daily active users and more than a million new daily registrations; a figure that showed that it was continuing to grow more than a year after its launch, in July 2023.
