The National Autonomous University of Mexico (Unam) joined the platform Coursera to offer a course on personal finance. Specifically, it focuses on personal financial planning, as well as the need to safeguard one’s wealth and financial resources.

The person who will direct the program is the professor of the Faculty of Accounting and Administration of UNAM, Norman Wolf del Valle, who is also a doctor of Law and a graduate in Philosophy and Letters.

The course starts this May 17, 2023 and lasts for three weeks although those who sign up can start it whenever they like, according to their schedules.

The program is completely virtual and free, and students will obtain their certification upon completion.

In the first week or stage, the budget is addressed and what planning family expenses implies, as well as the importance of saving. In the second, all activities related to the concept of investment and credit are developed. And in the last one, we talk about insurance actions and the notion of responsible consumption.

According to Coursera, the abilities that will be developed in the course will be focused on budget and credit management.
