There are few Stephen King stories that have not ended up being converted into a film adaptation, even when it comes to many of his stories. In fact, the writer’s work can practically be considered a kind of film genre as such. And to tell the truth, how many authors can boast of the same thing? You could say almost none.
So much so, that some of his oldest films, as is the case with Item either The Mystery of Salem’s Lot (both released on television at the time), have returned in the form of two remakes. The new film inspired by a work by Stephen King
If you look at the releases of the last decades, it is difficult to find years in which at least one film inspired by a Stephen King story has not been released. Almost as if the writer were (in a sense, already is) some kind of trademark. The last of them, The Mystery of Salem’s Lot recovers its classic vampire story in the purest style Dracula.
But there will be more Stephen King on the big screen soon. Only this time it will not come from one of his popular novels, but from one of his stories. And not the best known. The monkey, release date and other details
Although there are still not many details known about The Monkeythe new film based on the story by Stephen King, there is a scheduled date for its release date in Spain: March 7, 2025. Additionally, the film will star Theo James (Divergent) and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings, The Faculty).
