September 6 (Portaltic/EP) –

In addition to its new AI laptops, Lenovo has unveiled its Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC concept laptop, which it describes as an “innovative leap forward in personal computing” by including features that allow the display to unfold and rotate autonomously, guided by voice commands.

The technology company has presented its new AI laptops at the IFA fair in Berlin, including models for the TinkPad, ThinkBook, Yoga and IdeaPad series, among which the new Aura Edition laptop series stands out, with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition.

In this context, Lenovo wanted to show other technological innovations that it is developing, such as the Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC laptop, a proof of concept that redefines user interaction through intelligent AI automation.

This model stands out for being equipped with the industry-first Auto Twist design, which combines AI-powered flexibility and intelligent interaction to create a fluid and ergonomic computing experience.

Thus, Auto Twist is able to adapt to multiple scenarios through automatic rotation with double degree of freedom (Dual Degree of Freedom), which allows the screen to rotate horizontally with 360-degree hinges in a motorized manner.

However, the novelty of this system is that it has AI capabilities, which allow the screen to react to the user’s voice commands. Specifically, the screen interacts intelligently by rotating itself when commanded, responding to movement requests such as “close laptop”, “laptop mode” or “tablet mode”.

Along these lines, it also includes a function capable of constantly tracking the user’s movements through facial tracking, so that the entire screen rotates following the person if they move around the laptop.

This is a way of ensuring optimal visibility, as well as keeping the user always in the centre of the screen, which is useful, for example, during presentations or work meetings. In addition, it is equipped with safety functions, which allow, for example, the laptop lid to close automatically when it is unattended.

It’s still a prototype for now, but Lenovo has said the Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC “redefines user interaction through exceptional performance and user-centric features, setting a new standard for smart devices.”
