( Spanish) – The Attorney General’s Office of Michoacán announced that it is investigating the death of a journalist in the central area of the city of Uruapan, reported this Wednesday through a statement published on its X account.
The document adds that Mauricio Cruz Solís suffered “an assault with a firearm” and one more person was injured in the incident that occurred at night.
Several Mexican media report that Solís, founder of the Minuto per minute portal, had interviewed the mayor of Uruapan shortly before the attack.
Also through X, the governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Rodríguez Bedolla, condemned the homicide and added that there is a state and federal operation to find those responsible.
