( Spanish) — Two people were found dead on an Avianca airline plane on flight AV116 that landed in Bogotá this Friday, January 6, 2023, from the city of Santiago de Chile, according to a statement press release of the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia.
Colombian airline issued a statement referring to the facts and said that the airline staff found the bodies of two people “who flew irregularly (stowaways) in the landing gear of the aircraft that attended the flight.”
The statement adds that the company immediately activated the security protocol and the authorities in Colombia and Chile to start the investigation of the case. They also extended their condolences to the families of these people.
