They find the charred body of an elderly man in the trunk of a burning car in Burgos

The Civil Guard of Burgos is investigating the discovery of a charred body in the trunk of a car that caught fire this Wednesday morning on the road that connects Villaquirán de los Infantes with Los Balbases as homicide, according to what is reported in today’s edition of the Diario de Burgos and collected by the ICAL agency.

Neighbors of Villaquirán alerted the authorities when they saw smoke in the area. Upon arrival, the agents found the vehicle, with a Castellón license plate, completely burned. Although the body was unrecognizable due to the flames, it is estimated that it is a man. It is not yet known if the victim was driving the car or how he got to the scene, since the vehicle was not reported stolen, nor has any of its owner been reported missing.

The Civil Guard, which continues to advance the investigation, is trying to locate the owner of the vehicle, of foreign origin, using its contacts in the Valencian Community and family and friends of the owner of the car.
