They find 79 migrants crowded into hotels in Tijuana, Mexico

( Spanish) — The National Institute of Migration (INM) of Mexico announced through a statement that 79 migrants were located in the city of Tijuana, in northern Mexico.

In the operation these people were found crowded into 3 different hotels in the border city with the United States.

The nationalities of the people are: 16 from Afghanistan; 35 from Mauritania; 9 from Ecuador; 7 from Colombia; 5 from Nicaragua; 4 from Eritrea; two from the Congo and one from Angola.

He INM informed that the 9 people from Ecuador are part of two families which will remain under the guardianship of the System for the Integral Development of the Family. The rest of the migrants are waiting for their legal status to be defined in Mexican territory.
