We are a few days away from the premiere of Super Mario Bros. The Movie hit the movie theaters, so different details about the production continue to be released. This time it was the composer of the film, Brian Tyler, who shared the participation of Koji Kondo in the production.

As you surely know, Koji Kondo is a composer recognized for creating the soundtracks for several video games produced by Nintendo, including important sagas such as Super Mario and Legend of Zelda.

Now, what the Japanese did in the new plumber tape has just been revealed, all thanks to the statements made by the composer of Super Mario Bros. The MovieBrian Tyler:

“Koji Kondo, the original writer of this music, who I adore and am friends with, was a big part of this. I talked to him all the time: ok, what’s up with this? What do you think if I trade this for this?” Tyler said in an interview with screen rant.

On the other hand, the composer talked about a specific scene in the movie where he wanted to add some special changes so that the community will enjoy it every time:

“There’s a part where Mario and Luigi are in a waiting room, and I thought it would be cool. [si] inside the score you hear a harp playing the music of the waiting room. I wanted to fully immerse myself and make it a feast for people who have heard it 1,000 times, or Mario fans, but also work on a dramatic level,” Tyler concluded.
