A few days ago the Hi-Rez team confirmed that Rogue Company will end its services on Nintendo Switch. Now, and to continue with the bad news, the same study announced that Paladins: Champions of the Realmanother of its free-to-play, will do the same and abandon the hybrid console.
As you surely remember, this free game was released on June 12, 2018 on the Nintendo platform (2 years later than on other consoles). However, it was confirmed that Switch will be the first to say goodbye to Paladins: Champions of the Realm.
The news was revealed in a statement from Hi-Rez Studios, who are also responsible for other games such as SMITEwhere they confirmed that it will be at the end of June when their title stops working in the hybrid.

“After lengthy discussions and consideration among our team members, we have made the difficult decision to end support on Nintendo Switch. The last update you will receive will be “Midnight Masquerade”. This decision was not made lightly or without concern. However, we realized that the performance of the Switch version was not up to our standards or those of our community, and we have not been able to offer the level of support that community deserves.

Those responsible for Paladins: Champions of the Realm They affirmed that with this decision they will be able to give better support to players on other platforms, so the version for PlayStation, Xbox and PC will continue to work and update without problems.
It is worth mentioning that Hi-Rez promised to continue supporting the game until the release of the next update at the end of June. However, from that moment it will no longer be possible to access Paladins: Champions of the Realm on Nintendo Switch.

It should be noted that starting today, April 19, real money in-game purchases will no longer be available, and Hi-Rez Studios recommends that you use their account linking to resume your progress on another platform.
