( Spanish) — An operation carried out between Argentine, Peruvian and Uruguayan security officials ended with the capture in Lima, Peru, of a man listed as the “most wanted narco” in Argentina, the Federal Police of that country reported this Friday in a statement. .
Raúl Martín Maylli Rivera, alias “Dumbo”, of Peruvian nationality, had been a fugitive from Argentine justice since May 2021 and was allegedly part of a criminal organization that sold drugs in a popular sector of Buenos Aires, according to the statement.
The Federal Police also said that Maylli Rivera’s partners had presented the individual’s death certificates to the Argentine and Peruvian authorities to mislead the investigators.
“There was even a tomb with his name in the San José de Flores Cemetery, in the city of Buenos Aires,” the statement explained.
A source with access to the file in Argentina told that alias Dumbo does not have legal representation after his lawyer resigned.
