( Spanish) — The Secretary of State in the Office of Security through the Honduran National Police reported in a statement that this Friday, July 7, in the Office of the Presidency of the Legislative Power, the food addressed to its president, Deputy Luis Rolando Redondo and, as part of the security protocols, they carried out an inspection where they found a substance that appeared to be ground glass, for which they issued an alert.
The alert is a protocol in which access to the person affected by an event like this is restricted to better manage their safety and also their diet.
has tried to contact Redondo since the incident became known, to no avail so far.
In the proceedings to clarify the fact, the Government reported that teams of specialists from all the investigation and intelligence departments of the State were appointed.
The Directorate of the Investigative Police collected food samples to submit them to scientific expertise and the results are awaited.
As part of the security protocols, the Health Directorate of the National Police said that it will maintain a level of alert in the event of any emergency that involves or affects legislators or congressional workers.
