Why are there discounts to the IEPS?
The federal government is dedicated to granting these discounts to avoid an escalation in fuel prices when the price of oil rises and, thus, avoid a greater rise in inflation.
The lower the subsidy applied by the Ministry of Finance, the greater the government’s tax revenue collection.
Gasoline price
On Friday, October 4, the average price per liter of Magna gasoline is 23.89 pesos, that of Premium is 25.33 pesos, and the liter of diesel is 25.45 pesos, according to the PetroIntelligence site.
