When buying a smart watch there are many things to assess, starting with the price or the operating system that you usually use, and for example you cannot link an Apple Watch to an Android mobile or an iPad, only to a iPhone.
Not only that, but there are very different models, some more focused on sports and others oriented to the synchronization of notifications or mobile payments. Luckily, we have tested many smartwatches and have several favorite models based on our experience.
There are quite a few smart watches at good prices, discounted or not, that can offer everything you need in your day to daysuch as measurement of calories, of exercises (dozens of them in some cases) and that have quite interesting extras.
We have focused on eight of them, the ones that have obtained the best marks in our analyzes in recent months, and not all of them are high-end but there are also cheap models that are well below 100 euros.
- Apple Watch Series 8
- Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
- TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra
- Huawei Watch GT 3
- Huawei Watch 3
- realme Watch 3
- one plus watch
- Redmi Watch 2 Lite
Apple Watch Series 8
One more year, Apple has renewed its watches, with the main novelty of the Ultra as a premium reference, although its price is close to 1,000 euros.
The Apple Watch Series 8 is somewhat more modest, adding the odd novelty with respect to the previous generation but being continuous in almost everything. Now it has a body temperature sensor as a new feature and also changes the sizes, which become 41 and 45 mm.
For the rest, there are slight improvements in battery and sensors, but it maintains the guidelines that have made it the best-selling smartwatch on the planet, and everything seems to indicate that it will continue to be, despite the price increase.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
Samsung smart watches have always boasted several things that make them different. To begin with, of those that work with Android, they are the clearest alternative to the Apple Watch, with a somewhat more affordable price.
That said, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro has a somewhat higher price than its younger brother, although with much more precise sensors it is not bad at all in terms of value for money. To this we must add the screen, surely one of the best on the market.
It also has a fast charge, a very good battery life and GPS to more accurately measure certain sports activities.
For not missing it, it does not lack the NFC to make mobile payments with Samsung Pay.
TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra
Among well-established brands in the smartwatch sector is TicWatch, which has many and very prominent models with Wear OS as the operating system, Google’s OS that is finally revamped and updated.
The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, which we have been able to test, has practically everything: notification synchronization (to which you can respond from the watch), fall detection, excellent screen quality and much more. In addition, the price is somewhat cheaper than other similar options.
This edition corrects one of the problems of previous versions of TicWatch, and that is the battery, which now lasts 2-3 days without many problems, with the option of stretching it much further up to almost a month.
Huawei Watch GT 3
Huawei is strongly committed to the smartwatch sector, which is why it appears with more than one model in our selection, led by the Huawei Watch GT 3 in terms of its watches.
This watch stands out for having a classic design, but with a large screen and quite accurate sensors at all levels if we compare them with other similar devices.
In addition, it reaches ten days of use, without a doubt what has surprised us the most when we have tried it and that is why its evaluation is so high.
If you have to put a downside, it would be that it does not have NFC for mobile payments, something that is increasingly in demand.
Huawei Watch 3
Like the GT model, it uses HarmonyOS as its operating system, an OS with all the applications you need for day-to-day use, notification synchronization and sports measurement.
Its price is quite cheap since It does not even reach 300 eurosand has advanced functions, such as electrocardiograms, which more and more watches carry out but which are far from widespread in the sector.
As we were able to verify first-hand in its analysis, although the sports measurement is good, it consumes a lot of energy, and that means that with normal use it barely reaches two days of autonomy.
In any case, it is a good alternative to the Apple Watch and the Samsung Galaxy Watch, which is also quite competitively priced.
realme Watch 3
As in other sectors, realme is strong in smart watches, although generation after generation it makes a qualitative leap that also translates into a somewhat higher price.
In the case of the realme Watch 3, the main difficulty is finding it, and it is that although it is very worth it, it is difficult to find a store that sells it, unfortunately.
The main drawback that can be put on it is that it does not have GPS, and that makes it discarded as a sports watch, but it does have a good screen, notification synchronization and, above all, a good battery life.
one plus watch
The OnePlus Watch smartwatch is among the best we’ve been able to test because its value for money is really good. Perhaps it does not have the functions that other high-end models boast, but it is significantly cheaper.
It costs just 150 euros and it offers GPS to accurately measure running or cycling sports sessions, a more than sufficient battery and a fluid and easy-to-use interface.
Without a doubt, it is perfect for users who do not want to spend too much money but who are looking for a smartwatch away from the problems of the cheapest models on the market.
In the complete review you can see all the positive points and also the negative ones.
Redmi Watch 2 Lite
Direct competitor of the realme Watch 2 Pro, the new Redmi Watch 2 Lite bets on a fairly low price, officially about 70 eurosand with features that try to attract athletes and casual users alike.
For example, It also has GPS and pulse oximeter, as well as a screen that you can customize as you like.
It promises 10 days of battery life, although in our experience it does not reach more than a week, a figure that is already quite remarkable.
Also noteworthy is the display of badges and awards that the interface grants youthus using gamification to improve your sports activity on a daily basis.
